July is almost here, which means we’re moving into the next business quarter: July, August and September.

And if you’ve been around here for a while, you’ll know I return to quarterly planning again and again. Not because we need another thing to do.

Because private practice can drift so easily when we don’t pause to look at the bigger picture regularly - when you spend an hour every three months planning your business, it will reduce the boom and bust cycles, you might want to relax as summer is on it’s way but …..

Summer can be particularly unpredictable.

  • Clients go on holiday.

  • Therapists take time off.

  • Enquiries can slow down.

  • Marketing can become inconsistent.

And before you know it, September arrives it’s almost Christmas the most expensive time of the year and your diary is quieter than you’d like it to be.

That’s why this is a good moment to download the quarterly planning template below, set aside one hour, and make a simple plan for the next 90 days.

Not a complicated plan.

Not a perfect plan.

Just enough of a plan to help you stay visible, keep referrals coming, and move into September with more clarity.

Planning now means that instead of drifting through summer and hoping enquiries pick up later, you can put practical steps in place.

You can look at:
  • where your enquiries are currently coming from

  • What marketing needs to happen over the summer

  • whether your website or directory profiles need a refresh

  • How many client sessions do you want this next quarter

  • What income do you need in July, August and September to generate

  • What needs simplifying before September gets busy again

This is why I share this template every quarter. A private practice is not static.

Your caseload changes.
Your energy changes.
Your income changes.
Your enquiries change.
Your life outside work changes, too.

Quarterly planning gives you a regular place to pause and ask:

What is working?
What needs attention?
What needs adjusting before I drift too far off track?

It helps you stop reacting week by week and start making small, steady decisions that support your caseload, your income and your energy.

So before summer runs away with you, take one hour to reset.

Members download the quarterly planning template below and use it to plan July, August and September in your private practice.
